AI Powered Cybersecurity Lab launched at ASSCA
The "Al-Powered Cybersecurity" cybersecurity application laboratory has been established at the Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) in cooperation with "Crypttech", the crypto company of Turkiye.
The opening ceremony of the laboratory and the signing of Memorandums of Understanding between the parties were held at the Academy.The Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Major General of the Customs Service Natig Shirinov, Head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, Founder and General Director of the “Crypttech” Crypto Company Alper Cem Yilmaz, Chairman of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Development Farid Osmanov, employees of the Academy, representatives of the State Customs Committee, as well as relevant state and private institutions, and several higher education institutions attended the event.
Welcoming the guests, the head of the Academy, Gulu Novruzov emphasized in his speech that information and cybersecurity are integral parts of national security and noted that the application of artificial intelligence technologies in this area is of strategic importance. He noted that the Academy implements modern educational programs in the field of cybersecurity and pays special attention to the training of qualified personnel in this field.
The founder and CEO of “Crypttech” Crypto Company ,Alper Cem Yılmaz made a speech, thanked for the cooperation and informed about the activities of the company, which has been developing high-tech cybersecurity products and solutions since 2006.
Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Natig Shirinov, spoke about the reforms implemented at the State Customs Committee towards digitalization and the application of innovative technologies, noting that the newly created Artificial Intelligence powered cybersecurity laboratory will play an important role in improving the practical knowledge and skills of students.
Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, as well as Iltimas Mammadov, Head of the Department of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan, highly appreciated the activities of the academy in this direction, and noted that such laboratories contribute to the formation of an innovation ecosystem in the country.
Presentations on the activities of the Academy and the “Crypttech” Crypto Company were also shown at the event.
Later, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Academy of the State Customs Committee and the “Crypttech” Crypto Company of Turkiye.
Following the event, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the newly opened artificial intelligence powered cybersecurity application laboratory in the administrative building of the Academy of the State Customs Committee.
It is to be noted that the third cybersecurity laboratory created at the Academy, “Al-Powered Cybersecurity”, is designed to teach artificial intelligence powered technologies, apply them in real scenarios, and conduct scientific research. The laboratory is of strategic importance in terms of strengthening the cybersecurity ecosystem in the country.
