ASCCA Commemorates the Memorial Day of National Leader Heydar Aliyev
A commemorative event dedicated to the Memorial Day of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Academy of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (ASCCA).
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the event, Head of the Academy, Major General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, noted that 22 years have passed since the death of the Great Leader and highlighted his invaluable role in the history of Azerbaijani statehood. He emphasized that the political course founded by Heydar Aliyev resulted in victory in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He also stressed the importance of the younger generation thoroughly studying the political legacy of the National Leader and passing it on to future generations.
Addressing the event as a keynote speaker, Islam Huseynov, Head of the Department for the Organization of Educational and Methodological Work, spoke about the outstanding services of the Great Leader to our nation and state. He stressed that, for as long as independent Azerbaijan exists, the legacy of Heydar Aliyev will live forever in the hearts of our nation and that he will always be remembered as a great historical figure.
The event also featured speeches by ASCCA Deputy Heads Anar Suleymanov and Jamila Namazova, as well as students, who shared their reflections on the life and legacy of the Great Leader.
