A round table discussion on the topic "The Azerbaijani language is the national pride of our people and a symbol of statehood" was organized at the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the occasion of International Mother Language Day. The event, along with other guests, was also attended by Islam Huseynov, Head of the Department for the Organization of Educational and Methodological Work of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, as well as students from the Academy.

The Head of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Major General Janpolad Daanov, declared the event open, welcomed the guests and staff on behalf of the Academy's management, and wished success for the round table discussions. The General emphasized the importance of the Azerbaijani language as enshrined in our Constitution and other state documents, and he spoke about the efforts he has carried out in the field of protecting our national language.

Speaking at the event, the Director of the "Atatürk" Center in Azerbaijan, Doctor of Philology, Academician Nizami Jafarov; Vice-Rector for International Relations of the Azerbaijan State University of Political Science, Doctor of Philology, Professor Mahira Huseynova; and the Director of the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, Doctor of Philology, Professor Nadir Mammadli emphasized that the Azerbaijani language is the national pride of our people and a symbol of statehood, and highlighted the significance of effectively conveying the mother tongue to future generations.

Following the speeches, the scientific-practical discussion part of the round table began.

Along with other speakers at the event, Ayla Adilova, a third-year student of the Law Department, delivered a report on the topic "My Mother Tongue: The Breath of History, the Voice of the Nation." An exchange of views and various discussions were held on the topics.

At the end, a video clip featuring the thoughts of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev about language was shown.
