ASCCA staff attended event dedicated to the memory of Martyr of Patriotic War
The Central Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences hosted a memorial ceremony on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the martyr of the Patriotic War, Senior Lieutenant Hasanagha Abdullazada and the presentation of the book “112 Days”
The members of the Parliament, public representatives of science , members of the martyr’s family, comrades-in-arms , as well as , the head of the Academy of the State Customs Committee, Major- General of the Customs Service Gulu Novruzov, a group of employees and students of the Academy took part in the event.
First, the participants of the event observed a minute of silence in memory of our heroes who rose to the peak of martyrdom for the Motherland. The speakers spoke about the bravery, patriotism, and heroic epic of Hasanagha Abdullazada that he wrote in the history of our nation.
Making a speech at the event, the head of the Academy, Gulu Novruzov, stated that our martyrs deserve eternal respect. He spoke about the historic Victory won by the mighty Azerbaijani Army in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Novruzov noted that each of us is proud of our heroic sons like Hasanagha, who had a main role in that victory.
The members of the parliament, Fariz Ismayilzada, Nigar Mammadova, Tural Ganjaliyev, as well as the Director of the Institute of Economics of the Ministry of Science and Education Nazim Muzaffarli (Imanov), Vice-Rector for Strategic Issues of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University Vazeh Askerov, veterans and art representatives attended the event.
Naiba Yusif gizi, the author , who described the life and fighting path of the martyr in a unique way in her book, shared her thoughts on “112 Days”. She noted that this book, in addition to reflecting the life and fighting path of Hasanagha Abdullazada, is a valuable heritage for the younger generations.
At the end of the event, the parents of the martyr Hasanagha Abdullazada made speeches and expressed their gratitude for the attention and respect shown.
