ASCCA Student Achieves Success in International English Language Olympiad
The Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) was represented at the 5th International Gumilyov Online English Language Olympiad, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan.
The Olympiad, dedicated to the theme “Modern Job Market and the Future of Working Professions,” brought together 155 students from universities across Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan, including participants from the host Eurasian National University.
Held in two stages, the Olympiad assessed participants' English language skills through listening and lexical-grammatical tests in the first round. Those who qualified advanced to the second stage, where they delivered presentations on the main topic.
Fatima Zeynalova, a first-year student majoring in Information Technologies (taught in English) at ASCCA, stood out among 155 participants by securing second place and was awarded a diploma for her outstanding performance.
Of note, her successful participation in the Olympiad was coordinated by Taira Akhundova, an English language instructor in the Department of Law and Humanities at ASCCA.
