ASCCA Hosts Meeting with Mykolas Romeris University Representatives
The Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) hosted a meeting with representatives of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), Republic of Lithuania.
Welcoming the guests, ASCCA Deputy Head Jamila Namazova highlighted the positive outcomes of the fruitful cooperation established between the two institutions.
The MRU delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jolanta Apolewicz, Vice-Dean for International Relations and International Studies, Law School, and Prof. Dr. Virginijus Bitė, Director of the Institute of Private Law, Chairman of the PhD Committee in Law, and Director of Joint Master's Programs (European and International Business Law, Private Law, Intellectual Property Law) at Mykolas Romeris University. They expressed satisfaction with the existing partnership and stressed the importance of further expanding this cooperation in the future.
The meeting featured a presentation on MRU’s activities and international cooperation opportunities. Both sides reviewed the current state of collaboration, discussed the implementation of the joint European and International Business Law Dual Master’s Degree Programme, and explored prospects for future cooperation.
Cooperation between ASCCA and MRU was established in 2020 following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, under which several successful projects have been implemented. In 2023, the parties officially signed the European and International Business Law Dual Master’s Programme agreement. In recent years, a number of ASCCA undergraduate students have benefited from a one-semester study opportunity at MRU through the Lithuanian State Scholarship programme.
