ASCCA has started applying IELTS results to semester exams

The Academy of the State Customs Committee (ASCCA) has introduced a new assessment system for foreign language subjects. Students now have the opportunity to earn appropriate credits for the written part of their semester exams based on the results of the internationally recognized IELTS and IELTS Academic MOCK (mock exam) conducted by trusted centers.

This initiative aims not only to encourage students to pursue international language certificates but also support their academic and professional development.

For students with high IELTS scores, the possibility has been created allowing their results to be considered in academic assessment without taking the written exam. Speaking skills in "English for Specific Purposes" (ESP) are evaluated separately by the Academy (on a 10-point scale).

Before the IELTS Academic MOCK exam, organized by the UNEC Language Center at ASCCA, British Council representative Matanat Aliyeva informed the students about the official IELTS exam and its procedures.

Of the 41 students who applied and took the exam, 12 were granted the right to apply the appropriate score based on their IELTS results without taking the written exam.
